WELCOME TO OUR NEW STORE
It is a story of passion and the feeling of belonging
Founded in 2021 by Iranian winemaker Shahram Soltani
NESTLED IN THE ZAGROS MOUNTAINS IN IRAN
Our vineyards are located in the high mountain range in South-Western Iran, where the vines grow isolated and in rare conditions. The vineyards are the closest to the sun, one of the highest in the world and have special weather conditions.
FACTS OF OUR VINEYARDS
Geographic location
- Our vineyards are in high altitudes (up to 2500 meters above sealevel), which makes them one of the highest in the whole world
- The vineyards are the closest to the sun
- Off the beaten track: our vineyards are in remote areas, where they have been cultivated by winegrowers for several centuries
Grape Varieties
- All the grape varieties are native to the area
- We work only with 100% varieties and grapes from the Zagros Mountains
- Our wine is made of: Lorkosh grapes (Youtab and Ariobarzanes), Gorchesh (Hafez), Samarghandi (Irdabama) and Rasheh (Diako), and for Saadi we have used a blend of Samarghandi and Gorchesh grapes
Weather and soil conditions
- The nights are cold, the days are sunny and dry. The summers do not have a lot of rain, and in the winer the vines are covered by snow. That helps the plants to stay healthy all year round.
- The soil is a loess limestone bedrock.
History of the vineyard
- All vineyards are run by generations of families, who live in the area and know their vineyards very well
- Winemaking had been a part of Persian culture for more than 7000 years and its value is seen in poetry, arts and culture
- Shiraz, a city nearby the Zagros Mountains, used to be a wine-hub in the past
- Winemaking was forbidden in Iran, yet the vineyards kept the tradition of growing grapes alive
